24.02.2025On February 14, a branch of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local History located on the St. Nicholas Steamboat officially opened the exhibition "Russia and China. Four Centuries Together".

Dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the signing of the Soviet-Chinese Treaty of Friendship, Alliance, and Mutual Assistance, the exhibition presents the history of Russian-Chinese relations and the connection between the Krasnoyarsk Region and China.
The exhibition is centered on the economy, culture, art, science and conflicts of the two countries from the end of the 17th century to the present day. The museum space displays Chinese goods from porcelain to electronics, clothing and accessories, chinoiserie art, books, documents, and works by a Krasnoyarsk Professor Vladimir Datsyshen. To provide an objective picture, the exhibition also showcases the history of military conflicts between Russia and China, as well as weapons, uniforms, and photographs.

"Russia and China. Four Centuries Together" was created by the local Chinese communities: the Krasnoyarsk regional public organization "Chinese Community" and the Scientific and Educational Center for Chinese Language and Culture "Confucius Institute" (of KSPU).
The exhibition is held under the auspices of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. By decision of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of China Xi Jinping, 2024 and 2025 have been declared the Years of Culture of Russia and China.
