18.06.2013From the 13th till the 17th of June a Japanese drumming group “Sansyu Asuke Taiko” visited Krasnoyarsk within the Day of the city. The group came from Toyota city of Aichi prefecture and includes participants at the age from 12 to 59 years old. The performance equipment they brought weights about 300 kg.
It is the second visit of Japanese guests in Krasnoyarsk after participation in III International festival of Asian-Pacific region countries last year. This time “Sansyu Asuke Taiko” came to the Day of the city after a personnel invitation of Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Edkham Akbulatov, who visited Japan in February this year.
The group gave several concerts on different stages in the city, dedicated to the Day of the city. All the shows were warmly welcomed by the Krasnoyarians.
On the 15th of June some participants of “Sansyu Asuke Taiko” took part in a traditional annual Krasnoyarsk carnival, dedicated to the city anniversary. Japanese guests walked over central city street with some drumming equipment.
On the 16th of June the group visited Siberian Federal University. They had a meeting with professors and students, learning Japanese, delivered a lecture about traditional Japanese drums “Taiko”, studied a master-class for everyone and gave a concert.
