03.09.2024Held annually in the city since 2001, it is one of the largest projects of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra. Starting on September 3 to 15, world-renowned stars from China, Italy, France, Kazakhstan and Russia will perform for the Krasnoyarsk residents, almost a hundred musicians in total.
The first to arrive in the regional centre were the famous viola player, student of Yuri Bashmet Anna Serova and composer and conductor Roberto Molinelli. They will open the Festival with the programme titled "From the Heart of Italy".
— The last time I was in Krasnoyarsk was 10 years ago. I am very happy, very grateful to Krasnoyarsk and this wonderful Festival for the opportunity to meet my friends, – Anna Serova said.
Included in the programme are musical pieces of Italian composers of three centuries. The viola player will perform a potpourri from the operas of Giuseppe Verdi. The city residents will also see a world premiere from Roberto Molinelli himself. He will present a passacaglia rock composition called "William's Rock" to the Siberian audience. The genre implies a combination of rock and classical music.
It's the first time for the Italian composer here in Krasnoyarsk. The dress rehearsal has already taken place together with the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra. The conductor highly praised the skill level of the Siberian musicians. Molinelli has already managed to admire the Siberian nature:
— Thank you very much for the invitation. I visited your National Park for the first time. Places like those impress you and inspire you to write music. I am sure that after such an experience I will be inspired. I will dedicate the piece to the Stolby themselves.
The opening of the XXII International Festival of Chamber and Orchestral Music "Asia - Siberia - Europe" will take place today at the Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre.
