​Krasnoyarsk athletes won 8 medals at 2024 CMAS 18th World Cup Finswimming Indoor Round 4 taking place in Phuket, Thailand.

Three sportswomen came first: Elizaveta Evseeva in the 50-meter race, Veronika Formova in the 100-meter race, and Darya Yamkovaya in the 400-meter race. Silver was taken by Darya Yamkovaya in the 200-meter race, Ekaterina Anikina in the 400-meter race, and Daniil Gaidai in the apnoea discipline at a distance of 50 meters. Elizaveta Evseeva and Daniil Gaidai both took bronze medals in the 100-meter race (monofin) and in diving without scuba gear respectively.

 

Krasnoyarsk athlete won gold at the Paralympic Games

Matvey Yakushev competed at the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris and won a gold medal in the men's long jump:

— This is my first time participating in the Paralympics. I was incredibly happy to realise I won on my last attempt, truly an unforgettable feeling, like sudden holiday. The spectators at the stadium supported me a lot. I felt support from home too. I dedicate this medal to my parents and coach.

 

Krasnoyarsk triathlete Sofia Tikhonova won silver medal at the European Championship

The European Youth Triathlon Championships took place in the Spanish city of Banyolis. Krasnoyarsk sportswoman Sofia Tikhonova took fourth place in the first stage, securing a place among the best 30 out of 77 contenders to make it to the final. In the final race, our athlete came in second, winning silver. Sofia Tikhonova showed a result of 22:15 and was only two seconds behind the winner from France, Anouk Rigaud.

 

Boxers from the Krasnoyarsk Region won two medals at the international tournament

76 young male athletes from Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia participated in the Iternational Boxing Competition held in memory of the honored coach of Yakutia and the Russian Federation Artur Pakhomov in Yakutsk. Boxer from Norilsk Maxim Monastyrsky became the winner in the category up to 50 kg; boxer from Yeniseisk Dmitry Klyushnikov won bronze in the weight category up to 57 kg.
