20.09.2024The final concert of the "Asia-Siberia-Europe" Festival took place at the Small Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic. The stage welcomed the oldest and one of the most famous musical groups in China, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra, whose artistic director is the legendary conductor Tang Muhai. Maestro came to the festival with his daughter, violinist Tang Susan, who has long conquered world stages with her bright performances. For this concert, the artists were joined by the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra, as well as a piano duet from France consisting of Lyudmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ansel.
— The International "Asia – Siberia – Europe" Festival took place for the twenty-second time! However, once again everything sounded just as new! I thank all the organisers and musicians of the Festival for uniting us with the power of music and skill! – said Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov, addressing the audience at the concert.
The concert programme, which closed the festival, featured works that combined musical traditions of the West and the East. The Suite for Jazz Orchestra No. 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich was forgotten for a long time and only became popular again in the 80s. Thanks to another outstanding conductor from China, Lin Tao, who has the ability to combine a unique combination of musical styles and cultures, the concert turned out to be unforgettable.
In total, the "Asia – Siberia – Europe" Festival attracted over 11.5 thousand people, including those who watched the concert online. Since the tickets for most of the concerts were sold out back in June, long before the Festival began, some spectators watched the performances via live broadcast.
This year the project lasted 13 days, during which time it presented nine concerts to the city's residents and guests. Including the "Music in the Mountains" on the open stage of the Bobrovy Log Funpark.
This year, the regional centre became a centre of attraction for musical artists from China, Italy, France and Kazakhstan. The arrival of world stars from China became a landmark event, since 2024 and 2025 have been officially declared the China-Russia Years of Culture, and the visit of the Harbin Orchestra became a symbol of international cooperation between not only the countries, but the two sister cities of Krasnoyarsk and Harbin.
