At the BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, an athlete from the "Sputnik" Olympic Reserve sports school, Konstantin Krylov, received a gold medal as part of the Russian team in the 400 meter relay. He ran in the final fourth leg.

The Krasnoyarsk resident won his second gold medal for his performance during the 200-meters race. In the final dash, Krylov was ahead of the South African athlete Letlhogonolo Lucky Moleyane and Indian Kujur Animesh. In the 100-meter race, the Krasnoyarsk resident took silver, losing only to compatriot Danila Ten.

Artem Makarenko, another "Sputnik" athlete, became the winner of the BRICS Games in the 110-meter hurdles. At the finish line, Artem was able to geat ahead of his compatriot, the famous Sergei Shubenkov, and the representative of China Zhang Zijun.
