The International Exhibition for Young Inventors 2024 took place in Taipei, where more than 200 projects from 11 countries were presented. The Russian team presented 14 of them.

The school student from Krasnoyarsk Lyceum No. 7 won a medal for his automatic geological exploration project. The device allows for automatic surveying, accelerating the study of territories and increasing the volume of data obtained. Thanks to automation, the costs of the geological survey itself, as well as hiring specialists and using equipment, are reduced. The development also allows for exploring hard-to-reach areas and obtaining more accurate data on the resources located. In addition, automation reduces risks associated with the human factor, such as ordinary human fatigue or carelessness.

According to the inventor himself, the device should work as follows: a research station arrives at a geological exploration site, after which a map of the distribution of seismic receivers is formed and a mixing method is developed. Seismic vibrations are reflected from mineral deposits, which are recorded by seismic receivers. The recorded data is transmitted to the information processing center. The seismic receivers themselves collect data automatically.

The jury at the exhibition evaluated the projects according to more than 12 criteria. The main ones were creativity, efficiency, application of the laws of physics, market demand, environmental friendliness, and patentability.

During the IEYI-2023, participants from Russia won one gold and silver medal each, as well as two bronze ones.
