24.12.2024On December 20-21 2024 TECHNOXIAN World Robotics Championship was held in Cairo, Egypt.
The Krasnoyarsk team "Future of Siberia" took 3rd place in the RoboRace competition in the senior age category.
The international competition was held in Egypt for the first time and brought together about 250 teams and more than 600 participants. Russia was represented by teams from Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. All of them are winners of the National Robotics Championship "Krasnoyarsk 5.0", which was held in Krasnoyarsk in April 2024.
The Krasnoyarsk team "Future of Siberia" consists of three pupils and has been participating in competitions for 5 years. During this time, they became winners of various championships. At the TECHNOXIAN Championship in Cairo the team's task was to build their own robot capable of reaching maximum speed on a given track and getting to the destination in minimum time. In addition, they had to defend the design of their robot in front of the jury.
Participation in international competitions is a colossal experience and a breakthrough for any team's development. The participants do not just compete with each other, they exchange information and experience, have a chance to see their strengths and weaknesses in practice, and finalize their projects according to international standards. As the competitions are held in English, the teams have to master their presentation to experts in English, study technical terminology for a high-quality project defense. After such competitions, the teams always demonstrate improvement of their skills in many areas. The Krasnoyarsk experience in educational robotics development is of great interest to experts and participants from other countries. We show the world our joint achievements in popularizing engineering among the youth of the city and the whole country.

It should also be noted that all other teams from Russia also showed high results. On the first day of the competition, all three teams became prize-winners: 1st place - STARLINE (Krasnodar), 2nd place - SPUTNIK (St. Petersburg), 3rd place - GYDROLIFE (Krasnodar). Andrey Kalashnikov (Krasnodar) was named "The Best Coach of the Championship". All three teams are winners of the "Krasnoyarsk 5.0" in the category Innovation Project.
National Robotics Championship, organized by the ANO "Robotics Laboratory "Future Engineers" with the support of the Krasnoyarsk City Administration is annually held in Russia. It was first held in Krasnoyarsk in 2020, and then the Krasnoyarsk team transferred the right to host the Championship to other cities in Russia. It has already been held in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, and Yekaterinburg. In 2024, it returned to Krasnoyarsk, where, at the closing ceremony, the right to host the event in 2025 was transferred to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. From April 25 to 27, it will be held there already as the International Championship "Sakhalin 6.0".
