The first initial achievements of the work of the Centre for Open Education in Indonesia were discussed in Krasnoyarsk.

Representatives of government authorities and the administration of the Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical University spoke about the experience of creating an educational environment on the basis of the private Sekolah Tinggi Bisnis Runata Institute in Denpasar. Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia also took part in the discussion: Lusia Vreyda Adveni, Director of the Institute, and Nanang Syaiful Fadillah, Minister Counsellor of the Information, Social, and Cultural Division of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation.
The creation of the Centre for Open Education is a key direction in the development of international cooperation. The interaction of the institutes made it possible to popularize Russian culture in the region and attract foreign students to participate in Krasnoyarsk events.
As such, one of the symptoms of this new alliance was the participation of some Indonesian students in this year's Children's Ecological Festival "EcoTales of "Roev Ruchey", three of whom earned special diplomas from the Festival with their artworks and photos as honored international participants.

— The Centre for Open Education was created on the basis of the oldest pedagogical university in Siberia boasting almost a century of history. We firmly believe in furthering efforts to expand the international cooperation. Based on the experience gained by the pedagogical university, we must develop the experience of working together. This is a very promising direction, — said Artem Zakharov, Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Krasnoyarsk.
The official opening of the Centre took place on July 13, 2023. Employees of the Pedagogical University trained 314 local students of the Centre over 5 months. They prepared educational and cultural events dedicated to the Russian language, culture and education system.
According to Maria Kholina, rector of KSPU, plans for 2024 are to take cooperation to a new level:
— Our plans include long-term cooperation with our partners in the Republic of Indonesia. We want to expand the activities of the Center on the basis of several universities in the region. The results we want to achieve are constant academic exchange of students with partner universities and the popularisation of Russian culture on the territory of Indonesia.
