The representatives of the Krasnoyarsk City Administration from the Department of Economic Policy and Investment Development and the International Affairs Division of Mayor's Department welcomed the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in the city of Irkutsk Han Seong Jin for a working meeting and a discussion on potential future cooperation.
The parties discussed possible areas of mutually beneficial interaction in education and culture, since Krasnoyarsk and Korea are connected by a long history of joint participation in projects such as the International Festival of Chamber and Orchestral Music "Asia-Siberia-Europe" and the Korean Film Festival in Krasnoyarsk, as well as the projects of the Educational centre of South Korea created on the basis of Siberian Federal University in 2015.
Consul General Han confirmed that the Korean side is interested in cooperation with Krasnoyarsk and is ready to participate in various events that are organised by the city. Now, the Consulate General is considering the possibility of participating in the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum-2024, the National Robotics Championship and other events at the invitation of the Administration and the Krasnoyarsk Regional Government.
