As part of the official visit of the new Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Yekaterinburg to Krasnoyarsk, Luo Shixiong met with the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov and the Chairwoman of the Krasnoyarsk City Council Natalia Firyulina to discuss the prospects for developing cooperation in a variety of fields, such as education, sports, trade, culture, etc.
— Russian municipalities as a whole are appointed with a crucial task of maintaining dialogue between cities and regions of different countries. Krasnoyarsk currently cooperates with 7 cities of the PRC. Last October, as part of a delegation comprised of representatives from VARMSU and local governments, I visited Beijing and Harbin to exchange experience in developing international inter-municipal cooperation and other issues with our colleagues. We will definitely continue this work, – said Vladislav Loginov.
In turn, the Consul General of the PRC in Yekaterinburg Mr. Luo emphasized how important nowadays more than ever it is to strengthen relations and effectively build interaction between Russia and China:
— The world is changing, but the friendship between our countries is only getting stronger. This is my first time visiting Krasnoyarsk, and I have already fallen in love with the city and its architecture. I immediately noticed how pleasant it is to communicate with open-minded and friendly people living in this city. I am glad that strong ties have already been created between Chinese cities and Krasnoyarsk, and am convinced that we will be able to deepen them considerably. We are open to support a wide variety of areas of cooperation.
Following the meeting, Vladislav Loginov instructed to draft a calendar of relevant events for 2025-2026 and prepare an official invitation for the esteemed representatives of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Yekaterinburg to participate in them.

- In 2024, the head of the technical department of Yu Bao LLC from Shenzhen, Mr. Liang Gui, took part in the National Robotics Championship, held in Krasnoyarsk, as an expert.
- Chinese athletes traditionally participate in the international freestyle wrestling tournament "Ivan Yarygin Cup".
- From 2013 to 2016, then in 2020 and 2025, Chinese sculptors took part in the Open Festival-Competition of Snow and Ice Sculptures "Magic Ice of Siberia".
- Chinese musicians have been participating in the International Festival of Chamber and Orchestral Music "Asia - Siberia - Europe" for 10 years. In September of 2024, the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra conducted by Professor Mikhail Benyumov and the Harbin Symphony Orchestra led by famous conductors and renowned maestros Tang Muhai and Lin Tao, along with violin soloist Tang Susan and suona soloist Zhang Haitao, performed on the same stage. In June of 2023 and 2024, an event programme dedicated to the Chinese language and culture took place as part of the annual "Bright Shores" citywide project.
